    Surviving Death: A Paranormal Debate

Does Science, Faith, or Reality TV have the answer to what happens after we die?

TV Guide grid for the television premiere of Surviving Death: A Paranormal Debate

SYNOPSIS: Surviving Death: A Paranormal Debate examines competing worldviews against the backdrop of an authentic ghost hunt, led by television ghost hunter Richard Felix. Each event of the night is then examined through the lens of competing worldviews.

Parapsychologist Loyd Auerbach asks why mainstream science refuses to study these experiences, while quantum physicist Nathan Harshman, Ph.D., offers science's skeptical counterpoint. Felix, a true believer, works with fellow ghost hunter Dan Sturges and medium Michael Tottey to reach a trapped soul for the cameras.

But Felix's convictions also clash with Christian dogma, shifting the debate from science versus parapsychology to parapsychology versus theology. Catholic priest Father Jerry Wooton doesn't dismiss the paranormal, invoking the Church's long history with souls and demons, and warns of the dangers of speaking to unknown entities.

As the ghost hunt dramatically concludes, each expert gives their final conclusion as we attempt to accept the things that go beyond our ability to conclusively investigate.
